Lights, Camera, Action!

Our talented middle school campers just wrapped up an exciting project—they shot their very own music video! From planning the scenes and setting up the shots to directing, filming, and editing, our students worked together to bring their creative vision to life through video production.  Video was filmed in Wynwood and Brickell Avenue. 
 

📢 Please note: While we don’t promote or endorse the music selection itself, this project was all about learning the art of filmmaking—storyboarding, camera angles, teamwork, and video editing. We’re so proud of their hard work, collaboration, and technical growth!

At Knowledge Builders, we believe every child has the power to shape the world through their unique voice and vision. In our video production program, inspired by the wisdom of James Baldwin— “You write in order to change the world.  If you alter, even by a millimeter, the way people look at reality, then you can change it”—we challenge campers to tell stories in bold, creative ways. Whether they're behind the camera, editing footage, or writing scripts, students are encouraged to think outside the box and bring their personal flair to every frame. Through this process, they not only discover their own creative potential but also learn how to move and inspire others. Here, every child is empowered to turn everyday moments into extraordinary messages—sparking waves of imagination, expression, and innovation that reach far beyond the screen. We can’t wait to see them “Innovate, Create, and Captivate through the power of film!”

2025 SUMMER CAMP:  Summer camp dates are June 17th through July 31st, 2025 (7 weeks).   Camp hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00 AM  - 3:00 PM.  

Before care is available 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM.

​Your child can expect to be immersed in a creative, educational, and confidence-building experience with  hands on experiments, investigating, exploring, making, and planning projects that will incorporate all parts of video production.   Your child can expect to:

• Film and produce a Music Video, Documentary on a local social justice and  a 30-second TV Ad

• Create a Cross-Curricular Project

• Create a Podcast

• Create a virtual protest on a global social justice

 

​Breakfast and hot lunch provided.  Breakfast is served daily from 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM daily. 

​

​Field trips: Campers will enjoy fun-filled field trips to SkyZone, C.B. Smith Water Park,  Miami Roller Rink, Urban Air, WLRN, NBCU, and MediaPro TV.  The cost of field trips are FREE.  **The field trip form will be available in May 2025.

2025 REGISTRATION FEE:   $50 Non-Refundable. Early registration 50% discount opens April 1st, 2025 and ends May 30th, 2025. Registration fees are non-refundable. This fee secures your child’s spot in the program and covers administrative and processing costs, regardless of attendance or future withdrawal.

Summer 2025 campers receive a participant bonus of $100 at the end of camp.
