Summer Camp 2022 will be an exuberant and knowledgeable ACADEMICS & Project Base LEARNING curriculum. Each camper will engage in a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineer, Arts and Mathematics) activities, accompanied by educational and amusing field trips, literacy improvement, social skills, gain physical strength, and learn and inspire through hands-on project based learning.

As we continue to move forward from an unusual year, we are so excited to be celebrating our 15th annual summer camp. Just like we promised a "Summer to Remember" to our campers last summer, this year we will not only provide a fun-energetic educated filled summer camp but we are gearing up to give our campers some "Summer Cheer "!

Knowledge Builders offers a 7 week STEAM program during summer, accompanied by educational and fun-filled field trips. Our STEAM Summer Camp promotes teamwork, curiosity, encourages problem solving, and builds resiliency. We are excited to offer four full days of hands on experiments, exploring, researching, creating and designing projects that will include all components of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math). All games and crafts are centered around the six areas of STEAM such as Coding, Robotics, Chemistry, Zoology, Engineering and Ocean Science. Your child can be expecting to:
Build and program with robotics!

Showcase creativity with artistic and musical creation!
CAMP DATES: June 13th through July 29th, 2022
CAMP HOURS: Monday – Friday from 9am – 530pm
Before care is available from 730am– 9am at no charge.
STAFF: We have an excellent camp staff that is caring and excel at what they do. Our staff consists of experienced certified teachers. All employees are thoroughly background checked and are required to have CPR and First Aid certificates. Youth workers are over the age of 16 and are partnered with an adult staff member.
BREAKFAST and LUNCH: Breakfast is served 730am - 830am and HOT lunch provided daily except on field trips days and the 1st week of camp is cold lunches.- SNACKS are not provided. Water foundations are closed due to cov19 so please send your child to camp with a water bottle daily.
EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM: Each camper will also engage in literacy improvement, Physical Fitness, Social skills, learn and inspire through hands-on project based learning. Campers will engage in activities such as Coding w/Code.org and Tynker, build solar robots, design candy skyscrapers, make octopus and learn about oceans, learn the basics about developing and creating a webpages, make beautiful 5D full drill diamond paintings, make crystal rocks and create butterfly habits.
FIELD TRIPS: Campers will enjoy field trips to places like Trampoline High, Game Time, Dave and Buster, Pardise Cove Water Park, Super Wheels, Zoo Miami, Miami Seaquarium, Urban Air, Biscayne Nature Center, Cybrarium in Homestead, Frost Museum, Miami Children's Museum, and Everglades Holiday Airboat Park. - Field trips are included in the weekly cost.
2022 REGISTRATION FEE: $50.00 Non-refundable registration fee.
WEEKLY FEE: ONLY $75.00 per week. - Payments are due Monday and must be paid by Tuesday morning. The first week and last week's weekly fee is due the first week of camp.- Payments can be made via Zelle or Cash app. Payments made through www.kb-florida.org (PayPal) or myprocare.com will be charged 3% for credit card usage.
In response to the global pandemic, guidelines and procedures along with safety protocols are still active to protect employees, children, and their families from the spread of COVID-19. Mask must be worn at all times, social distancing of 3 ft. and 6 ft. implemented. Hand sanitizer stations available in all areas and hand washing practiced hourly.
Summer campers that remain the entire 7 weeks of camp will receive FREE bookbags at the end of camp during Family Night Show and Awards ceremony.
- For children that have summer school, they may attend camp and the weekly cost is $40 ($25 for after summer school care and $15 for bus). They will receive lunch when they arrive. *enrollment registration priority is given to full-time campers.
Once again, we are truly excited about offering the Summer Reading Explorers supplemental reading program. Through an agreement with The Children’s Trust, Florida International University and Knowledge Builders of Florida, Inc., the Summer Reading Explorers supplemental reading services will be offered to rising Kindergarten (age five by September 1, 2017), rising first grade students and struggling second grade summer campers. That means rising Kindergarten - struggling second grade summer campers will receive small groups (4-5 children) "TUTORING" that is tailored to the children’s ability levels, delivered for 30 minutes/day, 4 days/week for 6 weeks in addition to the educational enrichment Knowledge Builders already offers during the summer.
Knowledge Builders has also partnered with Florida Heiken Children's Vision Program to offer comprehensive eye exams and glasses if necessary, for Florida public school students who qualify to participate and CHI to provide free dental exam and cleanings. These programs are available at no cost to you.
Knowledge Builders is excited to have UF/IFAS Extension offer
"Soccer for Sucess" to our campers. They will learn basic soccer and 4-H valuable life skills that will be beneficial in your everyday life!
